So Long Atwood
I spent Wednesday running around and trying to get everything done that I could in Kentucky. I spent from about 8am to 4pm driving around taking care of business. I then stopped by the Matt and Erins apt to pick up the mix CD they'd made for LB and I. After that, I drove out to my mom and dad's to wash clothes and just chill out. We ate good mexican food and then back home to finished packing. Went to bed and then woke up around 7:30am to get the rental car to drive down to MS. The car had been wrecked the night before so we had to wait for them to get another car from Lexington or Frankfort or something. We planned on leaving around 8am, but didn't get the car until about 10:10 am. It worked out because we met up with Erin Ricther just outside of Nashville and she was driving by herself and needed some company, so I took the wheel for the rest of the trip. We made it into Oxford around 5pm Central time. Seeing LB again was wonderful. It's amazing how not seeing someone you love for a little while makes you love them that even more when you see them again. We went to Thacker Mountain, a radio show on Miss. Public Radio that is recorded in Downtown Oxford. We met up with Marcie there and then left a little early to go eat dinner. There we met up with LB's other bridesmaids and ate dinner. We had a good time and then parted ways. Me to the hotel, them to girls night out. I hung out with my mom and dad again. Kinda felt single again. Went to my hotel room and listened to some music on the aPod. Slept ok, but I'd wake up every once in a while thinking about things. I woke up this morning and thought about how I wanted to tell everyone at the dinner tonight about my groomsmen and how much they are a part of me. Kyle Noltemeyer, Ricky Irvine, Brian Holton, Mike Cosper, Greg Leppert and Nick Nye. I hope I have the guts to share with the whole dinner party what these guys are to me. Now, I'm sitting in the lobby of the Hampton Inn, Oxford MS. My mom, dad, Uncle Larry and Aunt Jean and I just had breakfast. I called LB and her and Erin are out getting her 'nails did'. And today starts the event that will forever change me. Later today, the closest of friends and family will be slowly making there way into town and into the hotels to help LB and I celebrate what no man can make happen (trust me, I tried). Tonight is the rehersal and dinner. Tomorrow is the wedding.
So long Atwood.
